Rules & Payouts

Baccarat is one of the oldest and most popular casino games found all over the world. The game is extremely dominant in Macau and is favoured by high rollers and Asian gamblers. While Baccarat may appear complicated on the surface, it is actually a very easy game to learn and play, almost as simple as betting on the flip of a coin.

Rules:

In Baccarat, cards have a point value, cards two through nine are worth face value (in points), Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings have no point value (are worth zero). Aces are worth 1 point. Hands are valued to the rightmost digit of the sum. For example a hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5, but a hand consisting of 6+7 is worth 3 (the 3 being the rightmost digit in the combined points of 13). The highest possible hand value in Baccarat is therefore nine.

Play begins by placing a bet on either the "player", the "banker" or a tie. Extra side bets can also be placed.

Once the betting round has finished, the dealer gives two cards each to the player and the banker. As mentioned above the score of the hand is the rightmost digit of the total of the cards. For example, if the two cards were an 8 and 7, the total score would be 15 making the actual score 5. Scores in the game will always range from 0 to 9 and it is impossible to bust.

Depending on the score of the two hands, further cards may need to be drawn. If either the player or the banker has a two card score of 8 or 9 then they have a "natural hand" and no further cards are drawn for either hand. The outcome is decided there and then.

If the players hand is between zero and 5 then they will ALWAYS be dealt another card. If their hand is 6 or 7 then they will ALWAYS stand.

Third Cars Rules :

Once the required cards have been drawn for the banker and the player, the scores will be compared, the winner is the one that has the greater score. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1 and winning bets on a tie will pay 8 to 1. In the event of a tie, both the banker and player bets will be returned also known as a push.
